Laparoscopy is a surgical procedure where surgeons can access the inside of the abdomen and pelvis without making large incisions in the skin. It is minimally invasive performed using a laparoscope. There is a small tube used as the source of light and a camera that clicks images of the inside of the abdomen and relays them to a television monitor.
